Electric is located at 41 South Mall (Google Maps), a mere hop, skip and a jump from the Barcamp Cork venue. Afters start at about 6:15/6:30 after Barcamp (we’ll be traveling in a pack from Barcamp), here the competition winners will be announced and award. Electric are very kindly providing us with complimentary finger food, however if you’ll be starving after the day (like myself) ring ahead (021-4222990) and make reservations, contact details will also be available at the event.

Come for the craic, networking, free food and the liquid confidence to talk large amounts of people (if you weren’t able to at Barcamp Cork)!

Competiton details will be posted on website on the day (no head-starts ) and also on a whiteboard at the event.

Dot-Cotton is Ireland’s first and only custom digital print clothes shop, at 14 French Church Street.  They are giving us 4 custom designed t-shirts for the competition.

Ellislab are giving us 2 ExpressionEngine licenses and 2 MojoMotor licenses. John Henry Donovan will be giving a talk at Barcamp Cork on ExpressionEngine on a practical level and an introduction primer, useful for anyone interested in publishing platforms.

BrokenScreen.ie have very kindly given us 4 4GB memory sticks to include in the competition. BrokenScreen.ie are Ireland’s premier laptop screen repair site, offer a collect, repair and delivery service!

I am excited to announce that the venue we have chosen for BarCamp Cork IV is the Webworks Cork.
The Enterprise Ireland Webworks is a fully serviced office facility in the city centre developed for the benefit of services focussed small and medium enterprises (SMEs) trading internationally from Cork. The facility offers 3,300 square metres of enterprise space broken up into 36 distinct units with a capacity to accommodate up to 450 people.

Lady Barcampers – the Girl Geek Dinner is happening the night before Barcamp Cork III.

We have 3 large rooms booked for the day for concurrent talks with the option of splitting one of the rooms into two medium sized rooms.

There is a tiny little room too, off one of main rooms which might be good for smaller talks or demos.
When the talks have wrapped up for the afternoon we can all wander across the hall to the bar for a couple of drinks and watch the match.

30 bed rooms have been put aside for those wishing to book a room to stay over on the night with rates of €75 – €85 per room. Don’t forget to mention ‘Barcamp’ if you are contacting the Hotel.
